Year I - Get Your Exhaustive Induction to Spatial Design
Starting from retracing the origin of interiors, the year takes students through basic design ideologies, design concepts, spatial layouts, design process, interior materials, technical conventions, building construction techniques, and basic interior services. Further, the students are made familiar to computer aided designing that helps them reflect their ideas in the digital space. They are also given special understanding of sustainable designs, and design related to green building practices and environment. Further, knowledge on furniture designing and materials in trend make the students multitalented.
Year II – Execute a Range of Spatial Requirements
Moving on with firm basics, the students are guided towards conceptualizing and designing a range of spaces with every knowledge required, right from the planning regulations pertaining to residential development, office space, retail space, and more to preparing for research, analysis, and implementation of client projects. The students are directed towards accessory designing, including light fixtures and furniture. They also seek an enhanced knowledge of formulating contracts, tenders, and BOQ that shall act as an additional knowledge to their design skills. Above all, they get their hands on advanced computer-aided designing tools to groom as a perfect modern designer able to tap the benefits of digital technology.
Year III – Augment Your Skills with Professionalism
Training students to become independent Interior Designers and able to take up different challenging roles in the Interior industry, the students are guided through every step of spatial designing — from understanding client needs and independently conceptualizing to related research processes, design, and design implementation. The students are given the skills to professionally manage site and resources. They are guided to generate a signature project showcasing their knowledge sought through the years. The students finally come out with an impressive portfolio, which will assure them in landing in the best job opportunity in the highly competitive professional world.
